Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Fairy tales are stories that usually begin with once upon a time and end with lived happily ever after. Traditional fairy tales as we know them from the collections of Charles Perrault, the Grimm Brothers and Andrew Long consist of magical and realistic elements (Joosen Vanessa) In the past folktales were used for families to spend time together telling stories since television wasn’t invented yet. Snow white and the seven dwarfs is a very good fairy tale shows a good point that there are evil people in this world. Snow white’s stepmother the queen was a very beautiful evil and vain person she wanted to be the prettiest in the land. The seven dwarfs gave snow white stability and showed her about true friendship. The dwarfs saved snow white twice from the evil queen. Sleepy was always sleepy, droopy- eyed and always wanted to sleep. Even though sleepy was always tired he was the most observant of the dwarfs. He was the one that knew it was the evil queen disguised as the old- peddler and the farmer’s wife. Sneezy was always sneezing because he had severe hay fever. Sneezy was one of the friendliest dwarfs. Dopey is funny and silly he would annoy Doc and Grumpy. He didn’t speak that much he would make noises instead of speaking words. The other dwarfs adapted to his form of communication. Doc was the leader of the dwarfs he would always get in fights with Grumpy because Grumpy wanted to be the leader. One fight Doc got in with Grumpy was because Grumpy wanted Snow White to leave and Doc wanted her to stay. Grumpy is the most negative of the dwarfs. He is rude, but he has a compassionate heart even though he doesn’t show it. Grumpy is smart, fearless and doesn’t trust women. Even though he was mean to Snow White he had a soft spot for her. She would always tease Grumpy. Bashful is very shy he had a crush on Snow white. His shyness would make him turn red all the time. Bashful is such a romantic that believes in true love. He is a very good singer he loves to eat he loves food that is why he is the fattest of the dwarfs. Happy is always happy he maintains laughter and joy among the dwarfs. Happy besides Dopey is the friendliest of the seven dwarfs.
