Ted Bundy was one of America’s most brutal serial killers ever. Bundy confessed to killing thirty-six women across multiple states, although authorities believe that he killed many more than that. Many people think that he killed upwards of one hundred women during his time. There isn’t an exact date when he first started his murdering spree, although it was most likely in 1974. At this time most of the women were disappearing around the Seattle area. Most of his victims were young college-aged girls. He would always use a similar tactic to lure his victims to him. He would normally act disabled, and he would use his charming personality to ask for help putting something into his vehicle. Then when they would get to his car he would force them inside, and that would be the last time the victims would ever be seen(Bundy). Ted Bundy’s first known murder, was Lynda Healy. The first was the abduction of Janice Ott and Denise Naslund. They were abducted at Lake Sammamish in Utah. This led to multiple other women disappearing in the state of Utah, which were all abducted by Bundy. Most of these victims' remains were discovered in nearby mountains. On November eighth Bundy had posed as a police officer outside of a mall in an attempt to lure in his next victim. This was Carol DaRonch who was walking out to her car when Bundy stopped her. He said he needed a witness statement for a car that was broken into. When Bundy told her to get into his car Carol knew something wasn’t right. She tried to escape although Bundy was able to get her into the car. Once Bundy started driving Carol was able to open the car door and jump out. She then was able to get in a car that was passing by. This was the first victim that was able to escape from Ted. This made Bundy angry and led to him abducting multiple other women out of
