Resolution: The new testament teaches that the Lord's Supper may properly be observed by Christians on, and only on, the first day of each week.

Today my partner and I are here to prove that the Resolution, which states that, "the new testament teaches the Lord's Supper may properly be observed by Christians on, and only on, the first day of each week," is true. My belief is based on many biblical examples which I will elaborate on.
In the book of Acts, we see that the Lord's Supper was the most noted purpose of which worship was centered around, besides giving of offerings. Whenever it talked about them joining together for worship, it always mentioned them breaking bread. Proof of this statement can be found in:
Acts 2:42: "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

Acts 20:11: "Now when he had come up, had broken bread and eaten, and talked a long while, even till daybreak, he departed." There are three known ways to interpret the Bible, direct commands, necessary influence, and proven examples. A necessary influence is found in Luke 22:16 & Acts 2. Jesus instructed us to partake of the Lord's Supper in remembrance of him. In Luke 22, Jesus is teaching the disciples about the Supper. He tells them, "for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God." This is where Acts 2 comes in. In Acts 2, the disciples are gathered for Pentecost, which is on Sunday, and they have just received the Holy Spirit Jesus had promised them. Here is when the kingdom is established.
