The Road Not Taken “The Road Not Taken” is one of Robert Frosts most famous Poems. The most recognized part of the poem is the last three lines of the fourth stanza. “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” These words would imply that the more difficult road, the better most vitreous road and he chose that road; hence, this is why the lines are used in commercials and graduation speeches. He contemplates perhaps coming back and choosing the other path, but quickly comes to the reality that he will probably never have that opportunity. Finally, in the fourth stanza, the narrator is talking about the future. In the future, the story will be told that the path less traveled is chosen; however, he knows this is not true that there was really no discernable between either path. This is why the title is different. “The Road Not Taken” not “The Road Less Traveled” The phrase "Somewhere ages and ages hence" signifies in the future we gauge the entire experience, and it will be hard to contemplate This phrase also shows that in the future people will cite this poem as some sort of example. The relevance of the situation, which road to take, points to its universal nature. Everyone has to make these decisions whether or not we know the outcome. This stanza also implies that in the future we remembers things differently then they really happened or even worse you tell yourself the lie over and over again until you start to believe the
