Rehabilitate the June Fourth Incident On June 4, 1989, the tanks of the People's Liberation Army broke into Tiananmen Square, and the bloody suppression to the demonstration students shocked the world, was called "the June 4 incident" or "the Tiananmen Incident". This is the most tragic demonstration of the student movement in the Chinese history, the demonstration people once reached as high as 1 million people. Facing rallying together to resist, the Beijing authorities chose to carry on a bloody massacre to disperse the crowd in the evening, the casualty estimated over 3000 people. This is the most important democratic movement in the modern Chinese history, many participation public figures still have not been able to obtain the freedom or the rehabilitation. Lots of the media from Western countries such as CNN, BBC News and ABC News were trying to present the truth to the audiences. If we search “Tiananmen Square protests of 1989” on YouTube, we can see lots of documentary and short videos that showing what happened in that time. For example, CNN posted a video 4 years ago, titled as “1989 Raw Video: Man vs. Chinese tank Tiananmen Square”. Increasingly China citizens are trying to get over the “wall” to receive this kind of new information. Sadly, they cannot spread out the information on the Internet since the restrictions of the Chinese government. But at least they started in touch with something that outside the “wall” and access to different point of views other than the Chinese government. On June 4th every year in Hong Kong, there will be a memorial for the Tiananmen Square protest of 1989. It has been held since 1990 and this year is the 28th anniversary of Tiananmen Square protest of 1989. At least 110,000 people attended this event and they have serval slogans which are “reverse the verdict on June 4”, “never forget
