Scene Description: This incident occurred on a residential property at 8441 55th Way N. This property sits on the east side of 55th way N, facing west. This property is a one story, residential home. The deceased was lying on his back facing north at an angle. See photographs for further detail
On 08/25/2016 at approximately 1810 hrs I was dispatched to a death investigation at 8441 55th Way N Pinellas Park.
Upon my arrival I made contacted with paramedics from the Pinellas Park Fire Department Station 33. Paramedic Hemmett advised he pronounced David R Nowell deceased at 1750 hrs. No action could be taken to resuscitate Nowell. Nowell was deceased for approximately 20 minutes prior to my arrical. Also present at the home were Nowell Family and friends, Judith Crum, David Spegle, Antonio Cano, and Cherellyn Savoy. I observed Nowell laying on the ground in the front porch next to a vehicle, with a sheet over him. He was wearing green Polo shirt, and blue jeans, and black shoes on. There was nothing in his pockets. His body was covered by a blanket, and there were several EKG lead connections stuck on his arms and chest. These had been placed by the paramedics. A visual examination of his body revealed no major traumatic wound.
