It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Deana Campbell. I have had the opportunity to work with her for five years while I was Principal at Middleton Primary Center. First as a Kindergarten teacher then as a School Readiness Language Development Program teacher, Mrs. Campbell consistently demonstrated a positive attitude with students, parents, and staff.
During our time together, Mrs. Campbell demonstrated a valuable ability to work with all students. She positively and effectively interacted with English Learners, Mainstream English Learners, and students with challenging behavior issues. Mrs. Campbell used various strategies to assist children in understanding and managing their feelings thus de-escalating their actions. Campbell goes above and beyond her adjunct duties. She served as the English Learner (EL) Designee, and attended Local District East EL and Title 1 Meetings. She consistently met all Categorical deadlines. Mrs. Campbell was resourceful when faced with challenges during the writing of the Single Plan for Student Achievement. She can work independently on projects without close supervision, effectively manage her time, and is flexible in regard to performing her daily duties. One of her strengths was keeping me informed on the status of categorical expectations and needs.

Mrs. Campbell develops positive relationships with parents. She held parent workshops throughout the year in Reading, Writing, and Math. She volunteered her time to participate in Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) afterschool functions: Day of the Child, movie night, and the 10 Year Anniversary Celebration. For the Day of the Child, Mrs. Campbell took the lead in coordinating, planning, organizing, and communicating to all stakeholders.
