The book that I read is “Judy Moody Declares Independence”. The main character of this book is Judy Moody. Judy went to Boston with her family. She met a new friend call Tori in the Boston Tea Party Ship. Tori was different with Judy. Tori had many things granted by her parents, but Judy doesn’t have. Judy declared for more freedom of Independence from her parents by writing the seven Alien Rights (p.53). But her parents were just like King George, making up Bad Laws all the time. They said that no addition of allowance will be given to Judy, unless she proved herself that she can take up more responsibilities.
Afterward, Judy tried to prove herself that she can manage the responsibility. She held a Boston Tub Party and ended up with a mess. …show more content…

The happy endings of the novel are the fruit of love in the family. Although all the requests by Judy were not agreed, her parents gave her the opportunity to earn them by trying. Her parents finally gave her the independence she claimed for as promise when they found that Judy was suitable. There are family love and trust between them.
