After viewing the short film "Our Time Is Up," I believe that it has a structurally sound plot. The exposition introduces the surroundings, characters and the norms. In the beginning of the film, we see a man who wakes up promptly. The film establishes his routine, his demeanor, and his profession. He has a very dull wardrobe, he reads the morning newspaper, he drinks black coffee, and he is a psychiatrist. The doctor is not very social with his gardener or other people. He even declines a younger doctor who is seeking guidance in his fresh career. He works from his home office, which is neat and this is where he encounters his clients. He does not wake up promptly because we can see that he didn’t go to sleep. He is still wearing his same clothes from yesterday, and he does not bother drinking his coffee, or reading the newspaper. When his first client enters his office for the day Doctor Stern skips all the questions and releases his new method of treatment: brutal honesty. His first client is so furious that he leaves kicking a potted plant on the way out. He starts telling all his clients about their problems in a sarcastically humorous way in the film. He then starts aiding his clients to overcome their problems. He helps his next client cope with becoming a homosexual by teaching him different components of being gay. He tells a female client that she should stop binge eating and throwing up. He tries to help one man conquer his fear of the dark, and another man with his fear of turtles. He helps a germaphobe face reality and he tries to train a man not to grope another person’s butt. He even smokes some type of drug with his gardener as that chat about apes taking over the world. He has also put his house of for sale. These chain of events lead to the eventual climax in an oddly funny
