When customers viewed the Vitamin Water ad, the very first thing that was noticed was that Koby Bryant was on the advertisement for the ad. Koby Bryant is an amazing basketball player and one of the most popular besides Michael B. Jordan. The advertisement used authority by featuring a celebrity athlete that young athletes look up to and admire. This sense of authority is known as Ethos. This made the advertisement even more convincing because if Koby Bryant uses Vitamin Water, then in a young athlete's mind, Vitamin Water must be amazing because an athlete they admire uses it too. Another quality of the advertisement that a customer will notice is the color contrast of the advertisement. The advertisement's background is a very dim blue, but the parts that the company wanted the buyer to focus on were bright and colorful. The brighter colors of the advertisement stood out against the blue background. This makes the advertisement more eye-catching and likely to draw the viewer's attention and this also makes the product stand out and more likely to catch the eye of the buyer. With all of this evidence, this will cause customers to jump on the bandwagon to buy vitamin water because it has been proven time and time again that it is the best. This advertisement also implies that Vitamin Water is the only choice for athletes and that other brands of sports drinks are not reliable. This creates an 'us versus them' mentality, making customers more likely to choose Vitamin Water over its competitors.
