This speech that I’m going to talk about was presented by Andrew Mwenda. And the title of the video is “Aid for Africa? No thanks.” And now I’ll be grading his speech by using the persuasive rule. First the speaker opens his presentation by drawing an interesting saying of his country “ Uganda” to get his audiences attention, because the topic that he is presenting is been presented by three people before him, so he has to make sure that the audience are willing to listen to him. Andrew started his speech by providing his purpose of speaking which was taking place in Europe at the same time too about increasing aid to Africa. While he was explaining he starts questioning his audience to see if they’re engaged or if they are supporting his claim. This is very smart, because knowing your audiences opinion or what they are thinking about your persuasive presentation so far is a good method for you to go forward and improve your credibility. After he questioned his audience he was going to state that he was right about what he was saying, but he found an opposition from one the audience , and then he explained very well based on his question and what he wanted to say. Next Andrew analyzed the cause of the problem. And on the way he stated, the cause of the problems is very true. The audience was very amazed and engaged with his plans.
