Rhetorical Analysis Of Ain T I A Woman

803 Words4 Pages

Are women capable of doing things men do? Many people may not agree. On the other hand, I agree. The speech “Ain’t I a Woman?” from Sojourner Truth talks about how women are capable of doing things that men do. In my opinion, she does an excellent job proving her point that women are absolutely capable. She mentions motherhood/women's pregnancy, Biblical references, as to how women can bring the world right side up, and how Jesus Christ was born. From the start, God wanted Adam to protect Eve, but the one who didn’t listen was Adam, a man. So I do believe here that if Eve had that much power to turn the world upside down, then we women are capable of making it better again. Sojourner made a true point. Now, as Sojourner Truth stated, “And now they are asking to do it, the men better let them.” Men better let women because I know women have the potential and Sojourner Truth believes so as
