Cindy Droog, a middle-aged author, that started writing in the first grade. She continued writing and eventually went to the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University for her bachelor degree in journalism and public relations (Droog). Years later, she went to receive her master's degree in communications management at Syracuse University. Droog started out writing as a ghostwriter for “doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, hockey players, and others whose intelligence – or recurring head injuries – paralyzed their ability to communicate with the common folk” (Droog). She uses asyndetons in a couple different articles for different reasons. On reason she incorporates asyndetons is so she can give things a sense of importance. In “My Desk; If Only It Were That Exciting,” Droog utilizes asyndetons when she describes the type of gloves she lost. Droog wanted her readers to understand just how much she cared about her gloves. She wanted her readers to imagine her wearing her gloves everyday and taking great care of them. She wanted them to imagine the wave of terror that hits her face when she realize she lost them and the sadness that washed over her face when she came to accept that they would never be found again. That is why Droog adds in the asyndeton because she wants her readers to feel for her about losing her favorite pair of gloves. Another reason Droog uses asyndetons so she can express her emotions in her articles. In “Twenty-Somethings Kill Stick-In-The-Mud Woman,” Droog uses an asyndeton when she talks about one of lessons she learned, which is there is no such thing of having one chance to make a good impression, she is relieved to learn it because now she can "stop fixating on [it] when meeting new clients, colleagues, husband's coworkers, potential friends, etc." Droog adds in this asyndeton as a way to show her relief of having this revelation. She is so relieved because now she can stop stressing about the unimportant things like making a great first impression and focus on more important things, and the asyndeton is just a list of people who she worried about when meeting for the first time.
