On December 8, 1941, President Roosevelt asked congress to declare war against Japan. During his speech he expressed indignation and rage towards the Japanese nation for attacking the United States naval base, located on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Unfortunately, this atrocity killed and wounded thousands of people and civilians. This speech was an important one for President Roosevelt, because despite it being a short speech it was full of emotions and force. His speech not only captivated his audience in Congress, but also his radio spectators. Soon after the speech, Congress passed the Declaration of War against Japan, which led the United States to World War II.
The thought of war and destruction, I believe will always cause a feeling of fear
