Throughout this essay I have examined an episode of The West Wing to look at some of the rhetorical methods television show writers use to address their audience after a national catastrophe. In this paper I noted Andy Sorkin’s use of ideological and metaphoric criticism to get his message to his audience. The methods I used in my examination of this artifact revealed a great deal about the artifact however there are still some stones that were left unturned by this analysis. First of all my analysis did not tough upon the repetition of words used and what that would mean like cluster analysis would have.
