Introduction In society today, people look for ways to be entertained, interact with others, and keep up with the trends in society. One way they do so is through a series of apps known as social media. Social media includes apps such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, and much more. These apps are being utilized on a daily basis by individuals worldwide. Viewing the content on these apps being posted on these platforms can be entertaining to watch, but watching them also can be negative for a lot of people. One way that social media can be negative for people is because it can lead to them developing eating disorders. Eating disorders is a disturbance to an individual’s eating pattern and even can be an impairment to an individual eating do to mental conditions. The audience that is primarily targeted is women and parents of children. There are differentiating viewpoints in regard to whether or not the relationship is positive or negative. This is why sources employ help of rhetorical appeals in order to get people to choose a side of the argument. They display logos by giving specific data that helps support their side of the argument. Additionally, the sources implement ethos to get the audience to have belief in the information that they are presenting. Continuously, they also apply the usage of pathos to get the audience to either sympathize or feel happy for those who are affected by the relationship. Overall, the relationship consisting of social media and eating disorders will be a topic that will be talked about years to come which will lead to more sources that will uses various methods to discuss the topic at
