Ladies and gentleman of the jury I would like to introduce Richard Ramirez, a man wrongfully convicted of being guilty. The first murder that Ramirez is accused of is the murder of Jennine Vincow. However, that crime could have been committed by Jennine Vincow’s son, Manny Vincow. Jennine Vincow and her son were having a dispute in New York that lead to her moving to Los Angeles where this brutal murder took place. It is the defense’s contention that Manny Vincow committed the crime and that Ramirez is innocent. As for the second murder charge of the prosecution case, the murder of Dale Okazaki, Ramirez cannot be guilty because of several circumstances.

According to Los Angeles Times, there was an alibi that was unclear by the witnesses which includes a dentist in Los Angeles who had an appointment with him on May 30, 1985 the same day Ramirez parents are claiming he was in El Paso to celebrate the first communion of his niece. It is the defense’s contention that after being accused of three murders, Ramirez began using drugs and drinking heavily and his mind and body were malfunctioning, then the stimulus of drugs and alcohol made things worse. Alcohol and cocaine affect a person biologically and psychologically. This could have led to frustration, rage and confusion in Ramirez mind. As for the next ten murders Ramirez’s rage of being accused led to commit these crimes to satisfy the media’s hunger for sensation it is the defenses stand that Ramirez is suffering from a mental disease along with a substance abuse problem that led him to demonstrate his anger toward fellow man.
