To me, Richard Seaver has a more effective essay. This is due to his complex writing strategies and use of sarcasm. Richard Seaver mocks his opponent. Coca-Cola certainly is “the real thing,” and who would ever guess that this slogan could be used in relation to another product, especially when the two products differ so much in comparison.
