Percy’s experiences align with the Hero’s Journey because of these three reasons. First, separation happens to Percy for a while. I know this because in the book it says that he has ADHD and dyslexia so that is what makes him separated from the rest of society. Then, the call to adventure happens. I know this because there is a danger that starts them on their journey and the danger is the monsters that come for them.
His lives in New York his has ADHD and dyslexia which made him read Greek his farther left him when he was little. He lives with his step-father Gabe who smells like sewer and keeps Percy safe the director shows us that Percy is an underdog and make us feel sorry for him. The film techniques the director used panning the city and
Percy Jackson THe LIghtning Thief book... or movie? He is a hero, a demigod. Percy is a 12 year old boy the son of Posidon. He lived with his mother Sally, and his stinky stepfather Gabe. But that all changes when he gets to Camp Half-Blood.
The Museum is where Percy discovers he is not a mortal , and during the trip his Latin teacher, Chiron, gives Percy a “pen”, which is actually a sword, and fights a monster called the Fury without realizing what the “thing” actually was. After the incident was over, everyone around Percy acts like nothing happened, so Percy pretends that nothing had happened either. Later that day Percy and his mom leaves for the beach, an annual trip that he and his mom always goes on. Throughout the beach trip a massive storm comes and Percy's friend Grover shows up, but not in human form, he shows up in his true mythological form which is a satyr, and tells Sally, Percy’s mom, that it is time to take Percy away now. So Percy, Sally, and Grover are driving to take Percy to the special place and Grover proceeds to tell Percy that everything he practically knows is a lie, that greek mythology actual does exist, that he’s a demigod, and that he is not safe where he currently is and has to go to Camp Half-Blood.
Percy is also brave, smart, and courageous, but he is also strong and caring. Percy’s main objective in the story is to get out of the underworld and stop a Roman vs Greek battle. Some devices used by the author in this story are alliterations, similes, and personifications. Some similarities in these two books are that both main characters need to solve a problem, both need help from
Initially, when Percy played capture the flag in his camp, his persevere characteristic kept him alive. Annabeth was very close to killing him, but he never gave up, and fought for his team. Subsequently, Percy's mom was abducted by the Minotaur. He wouldn't let his loving and caring mom just go away like that. He snatched the Minotaur horn off of it, and stabbed it with it.
Percy Jackson and the lightning thief is about the offspring of poseidon and a mortal, going on a quest with his friends to find Zeus’ missing lightning bolt. The bolt went missing and Percy Jackson is accused of taking it. This is an excellent book that was made into a film. Though the film was good it was very different from the book.
Percy was a trustworthy person and he would never purposely make enemies with somebody. Percy was an understanding person and he put trust in people. When Percy was younger he wasn't very smart when it came to trusting people because he got betrayed several times, but he later learned about trusting the right kinds of people. Percy was so kind, his friends and fellow Half Bloods would always have his back. He made lots of friends and there was always someone who would pop up when least expected and they would have Percy's back and save him.
Percy begins to doubt that he is capable of being a hero during the fight between him, Echidna, and Chimera because he feels as if Riptide, his sword, will cause minimal damage, and in this situation he’s not only trying to protect himself. First of all, before going into the elevator his suspicions lowered once Grover reassured him that there were probably no monsters since the smell is similar to that of underground. Once Percy got into the elevator, leaving Annabeth and Grover behind, he didn’t exactly expect the “chihuahua” to be Chimera, or the fat lady to be Echidna. He was baffled and caught in surprise unlike most of the other times where he was with his friends and they could protect each other. No, in this situation it was all on him.
The novel, Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief, has many different characters who seek to be a “hero”, including Percy Jackson, who is the son of Poseidon, sent on a quest to return the master bolt to Zeus to prevent a war from breaking out with his two friends, Annabeth and Grover. Percy Jackson proves that he was not a hero when he ran from the chimera, had also nearly missed the date of the summer solstice (Lotus Casino), and nearly had died of pit scorpion venom as he had thought Grover or Annabeth would be the traitor. The first reason Percy shows he is not a hero is when he fought the chimera. This shows Percy is a hero because this moment not only showed how weak he was, but also the fact he had little to no faith in his father at that
This novel consist of Percy Jackson, the protagonist of the story and his friends

This issue that I have chosen is the impact of global warming on polar bears. A polar bear major/main threat is due to global warming is the loss of sea ice habitant. These polar bears are marine mammals, which mean they spend most of their time in the sea than on land. The polar bears make their living on the arctic ice. Global warming also has an impact on the population of polar bears (population size decreasing), the sea ice platforms are moving farther apart; which is making swimming conditions more dangerous for the polar bears, it is impacting on their hunting opportunities (fewer), and increased scarcity of food.
