Document Response: The Report of the Hartford Convention The Hartford Convention began gathering on December 15, 1814 so that they could openly discuss and resolve their objections to the War of 1812 and political issues with the government’s rising power. The War of 1812 was a burden to the colonists of New England because proceeding as such threatened the obliteration of trade and sky rocketed taxes. The politicians debated on creating a new Constitutional Amendments, of many was the elimination of the three-fifths compromise which would give slave states more control in Congress. The Convention states, “[slavery] has proved to be unjust and unequal in its operation.”
Consequently, Walter Mitty’s daydreams aid the plot of the movie to move forward. When the story begins, it is possible to see a Walter Mitty who doesn’t express his feelings; he doesn’t communicate his desires nor his opinions. He is always doing what he is told to in his work, sorting negatives for Life magazine’s publications, without complaining. He has a tedious routinely life, he only goes from home to work and back home. Furthermore, he has to take care of an aging mother and a wacky sister since his father’s death.
With vivid description in a story, readers can imagine and feel as if they are living the story with the characters. In the short stories “Scarlet Ibis,” “The Most Dangerous Game,” and “The Veldt,” each author uses detailed imagery to create a suspenseful atmosphere, keeping their readers on the edge of their seats. Short stories are a great way for authors to heighten the tension of the story because readers usually read these in one sitting, allowing them to quickly realize the outcome of the story. In all three short stories the authors use imagery to illustrate a suspenseful build up making readers excited to finish reading. “The five o'clocks by the chimney still marked time, but the oriole nest in the elm was untenanted and rocked
He feels it is necessary that he puts others down and raises himself up, most likely because of his lack of achievement. Full of ideas and constantly searching for money Walter exclaims to Ruth in act one scene one “Man say to his woman: I got me a dream.
I would say that there is only one climax in the entire book. I think that this climax is when at the end of the book when they are at Hatch’s island and are fighting the entire elgen. I think that this is the climax because it was the most interesting part. When I say this I mean at the island that they were at there was a whole fleet of eleven ships and elgen armies that they had to defeat. They were winning at one point but then started to lose more and more each minute.
The Five act structure, made famous by Shakespeare, expands the classical overlay of the three act structure developed by the Roman, Aelius Donatus. Like the three act structure, the five act structure definitively set which acts would perform specific actions. Although Arthur Miller’s The Crucible is a four act play, it follows the structure of a 5 act tragedy which has an exposition, rising action, climax, falling, action, and resolution. The exposition is the first part of the play according the to five act structure and sets the play. It is used to introduce characters and setting.

The majority of these themes focus around conflict, more specifically intrapersonal conflict. The story follows Sarty and his decision to leave his family in order to live a better life. Two of the major themes are Sarty and his conflict with himself, and him trying to balance his own demands with his responsibility to society. In the end, Sarty chooses his responsibility to society over his personal needs and his family. He decides to tell Mr. De Spain because he knows what his father is doing is not right and he must end
The Second Day of the Convention, 1787 When I walked back into that hot, stuffy room of the convention I didn’t expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that General Washington had taken a much more authoritative approach to his position. We had actually almost gotten past three agenda items, the first being how many representatives will be in each legislative house. As I mentioned in last night entry, I had proposed 1 representative for every 20,000 citizens. Although I knew what I wanted from the beginning, I wasn’t the first one called. The first proposal of the day, made by McHenry Wilson, was 1 representative per state.
In this novel the Momary dreams are symbolic of Draper Doyle’s coming-of-age. In the beginning of the novel Draper is seen running away from Momary covering himself. However, by the end of the novel he faces her uncovered and even chooses to kiss her. This act illustrates just how much Draper has changed over the course of the novel. The once scared and repressed young boy is now shown facing something that he had feared.
[F] After closely examining the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Moses Ma writes an article called “The Secret of Life by Walter Mitty”; Where he deciphers Walter’s changes of hope to achieve everything he ever hoped and dreamt to do. [G] In the start of the fourth paragraph, Ma writes, “The new story follows Mitty’s journey of awakening…”(Ma 1). [H] Mitty had something to awaken from in order to understand his true self during his journey to find the missing negative. [I]
Greece was the birthplace of drama, but it was Aristotle who first believed that every piece of poetry or drama must have a beginning, middle, and an end. Later the Roman named these three sections Protasis, Epitasis, and Catastophe. During the Renaissance the three-act structure evolved into the five-act structure which was made famous by Shakespeare.

In the Tale Tell Heart the climax is when the main charater kills the old man because before he was wondering if he should kill the old man or not so when he dicides he went into his house and put a blanket over his face so he could suffacate him (I think the reason why he suffacated him was so he wouldnt leave any finger prints so people would think he died natrally)
