INTRO A senior marketing major with a concentration in management I, John Rizzo, see myself in many leadership roles in the future. As an athlete my whole life and someone who typically isn’t afraid to speak in groups and voice my opinions, I believe I have many skills necessary to lead.

Vision My vision is broken into three segments, now, next ten years, and later life. Right now my leadership role is with the Keuka College baseball team. I’ve been a leader in the past but this year as a senior I need to take control of the team. Like baseball, at first I remained quiet and followed those who have been there before. When my time comes I will be ready to lead. The vision for my early years in the workforce include saving money and making smart investments. For at least a year out of college I want to work while living with my parents. While living at home isn’t ideal from a social standpoint, without any bills it can be a huge head start financially. When it does come time to live on my own I do not see myself renting. I am currently working on my credit score and would like to take out a mortgage on an affordable duplex as my first home. My plan is to rent out one half and live in the other, charging the half I’m renting approximately my mortgage payment if it is the right price. After some time when I am ready to start a family I will likely rent out both sides of the duplex or sell the property. The first ten years out of school I see myself saving a lot of money. I also see myself still being a leader on the baseball field hopefully. I’ve deeply considered staying with the Keuka team as an assistant coach depending on where work takes me. I have a love for the game and would enjoy spending my free time helping the team. Changing over to a coaching standpoint would never alter the vision. As a coach I cannot handle 30 plus players at once and need strong assistant coaches I trust along with players who are accountable for each other. Delegation in the workforce will be similar to the two characters I touched on with less of a magnitude. At home delegation will be important as well. I need to allow for my wife, and other role models to have an influence with my children’s’ lives as well as let my children make decisions on their own while I am the best guide I can be. There will be times that I need to step in but I can’t make every decision for
