On Friday, February 16th, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is interested in signing New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski to the company. In the report, Meltzer said that the company is willing to offer a similar style deal to Gronkowski that they offered to Ronda Rousey. After the Super Bowl loss, Gronkowski took to the podium saying that he is going to think about his career. To me, the company would do the best to their abilities to make sure that a big name like Rob Gronkowski stays healthy for the majority of his career. WWE would not offer the contract to him if they were not 100% positive that he could stay healthy while competing in the ring. Just a few weeks ago, people like Dwayne Johnson and Sylvester Stallone reached out to Gronkowski about potentially becoming a movie star and telling him that he could make millions of dollars as an action movie star. With the reported Ronda Rousey type deal that WWE is willing to offer him, this works out great if Rob Gronkowski wants to become a movie star. With the fact that he is a lifetime wrestling fan, this would not be a cash grab for him. In my opinion, Rob Gronkowski would be committed to this business outside of the movies.
