Known today as the National Poet of Scotland, Robert Burns works of literature are timeless. His life, works and achievements are what define Robert Burns and show how his legacy lives on even today.
Robert burns was born in the village of Alloway on January 25, 1759. He is the oldest of seven children and they all grew up together in the southwestern part of Scotland on a farm. Burns and the other neighborhood kids went to “adventure school” which was the education that his father and other neighbors set up for the kids. Though he did not attend a regular school, Burns also taught himself as well. He taught himself of literature and literary devices. This knowledge grew and grew for Burns.
