In the controversial court case, the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, many believe the family happens to be the killers; however, the court show take their focus away from the Ramsey family. The neighbors said the Ramsey’s spoiled their children and raised them the best they could, but others say different. The majority of the people that know about this case have their minds set on the parents being the murderers, but there is other evidence that could steer law enforcement away from the family. Evidence was found that night that could show the family did it, but other evidence possibly shows someone else. Since the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, the finding of a ransom note demanding $118,000, random DNA tests, and confession by an individual have
On November 30, 1984, a 13-year old girl named Candace Derksen went missing on her way home from her school. After a massive search for Candace which spanned almost two months, her frozen body was found on January 17, 1985, tied up in a storage shed. After over 20 years of the case remaining unsolved, police charged Mark Edward Grant, a career criminal and sex offender, with the murder of Candace Derksen on May 16, 2007. Police were able to make the arrest based on previously untested DNA evidence discovered at the shed where Candace was found, which they claimed pointed to Grant. (The Canadian Press) Grant was convicted of second-degree murder by a jury on February 18, 2011.
On June 13, 1901, two members of one of Montreal’s wealthiest families were both shot and killed. Ada Mills Redpath, widow of the late industrialist John James Redpath, and her son Jocelyn Clifford Redpath were found dying and unresponsive in the former’s bedroom. Two pistols were found at the scene alongside three spent bullets, two lodged in Ada’s backside and one embedded in Clifford’s forehead. Interestingly, the family has remained very secretive about the entire incident; the case was hushed up and only revealed to the authorities by accident. However, by sorting and weighing the value of the limited contradictory and biased evidence available, it becomes clear that the deaths were not a result of suicide intervention, epileptic insanity,
David Elderidge should be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of murder. Although the defendant claims that he is not guilty, they are wrong because Mr. Elderidge had the motive to kill Mr. Armes, the spatula that killed Mr. Armes had Mr. Elderidge’s fingerprints on it, and Mr. Elderidge was seen at the crime scene by William Warden shortly before Mr. Armes’s death. The first reason in the case was that Mr. Eldridge had a motive to kill Mr. Armes. Sandy Smith testified Mr. Eldridge was in desperate need of money because the bank would repossess his home.
The result of this technique indicated that the victim was killed between October 9 and 13. Using three different techniques they obtained very similar data. The last piece to solve this puzzle was to identify the victim. They got a fingerprint from the victim but there was not a match in the database. They move on into the missing people report in which they found a woman name, Darlene Smith who matched all of their forensic evidence.
It is obvious based on the evidence at the scene that Horace Verbermockle was murdered by his wife who reconstructed the crime scene. The evidence is very clear that Horace was murdered by his wife who claims she didn't. However the evidence is undeniably clear. He facing the mirror brushing his teeth.
Walsh then dumped her body and abandoning her car on the side of the Seaford- Oyster Bay Expressway near Plainview road exit, attempting to make it appear as she was carjacked. That isn’t the end of it. For two days to come William Walsh attempted to beg and plea to the public for information of his Wife’s location which was aired by the local news stations. He cried on Television and said that she would never do this to him and his children. She must be found.
February 14, 1988, at 21:17 hours in Cardiff, Wales, Lynette Deborah White was murdered. She was virtually decapitated and had as many as 50-plus stab and slash wounds. The South Wales Police issued a photo of a bloodstained room and a sketch of an older white male. In November of 1988, the police charged five black and mixed-race men with White's murder. But, out of the five suspects, I believe Lynette White’s murderer to be Jeffrey Gafoor because there was a DNA match and he confessed to the murder.
A Texas family put World War II veteran Robert McMinn to rest after he lost his fight with Parkinson's disease, but two months later they received a disturbing call about his body. ABC7 reports the man that served his country by taking part in over 30 bombing missions above Germany was now dripping out of his casket. The family chose the cemetery because they sold themselves using the word 'dignity' on their brochures. Doug said: "It's unthinkable to me that a man, like my father, would go through that."

The city of Vancouver had a dreadful reputation early in the 21st century when the world ascertained that there was a serial killer living in the area. The man responsible for this, known as Robert William Pickton, soon became notorious for the crimes he committed on the women who lived in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Often, individuals who engage in severe criminal activities have some sort of personality disorder brought about by either biological characteristics, environmental factors or both. An individual's upbringing also plays a critical role in future deviant behaviour. If one's parents show love, support, and trust, then that individual is much less likely to engage in deviant activities, On the other hand, if one's parents do not care what their children do and act like they do not exist, then that individual is much more
As you can tell by the title, I’m writing about someone in who has murdered their entire family, all in one house. The murderer's name is Ronald Defeo. This interested me because of how many different stories were heard about this. Before I started doing research on this event, all I knew about this was that someone had murdered his entire family in one night. Others have talked to me about this topic before, but I didn’t think of it as a big case until I started research.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, you are here because one person in this courtroom decided to take law into her own hands. The defendant, Mrs. Dominique Stephens, murdered the man that she vowed to love. This sole act by the defendant is violation of all morals and her husband’s right to live. Afterwards, she even felt guilty about this violation of justice and called the cops on herself, and she later signed a written statement stating that she is guilty of the murder of Mr. Donovan Stephens. Then the defendant later recanted this statement and said that she only killed Mr. Stephens in self defense.
The Architecture and Function of H. H. Holmes’ “Murder Castle” The Chicago World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893 celebrated the four hundredth discovery of America by Christopher Columbus. It showcased the incredible progress and marvels of the past century and drew twenty-seven million visitors from every corner of the globe. Of those twenty-seven million who arrived to celebrate and learn, approximately two hundred of those in attendance would not leave Chicago. They checked into the hotel on South Wallace and 63rd Street, exhausted but amazed by all the grand sights they had seen, and were never seen again.
Red herrings are both deceptive and manipulative, but more importantly, they are how Dr. Sheppard almost got away with murder. In The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, a wealthy man is killed in his own estate. There are many suspects, excluding Sheppard. Between fake footprints and the intelligent use of a dictaphone, Dr.Sheppard deceived and manipulated both the police and Poroit, allowing him to no longer be a suspect in Roger Ackroyd’s murder.
