There were no physical evidence that linked Graves to the murder and eyewitnesses confirmed his alibi at the time of the killing. His killings began in 1978 and lasted for thirteen years until he was caught in 1991. His victims were mainly men of colors, the majority of them being african-american. He would lurk around gay bars until he found someone, and lured them home with some type of promise; whether it be money or sex. He would then offer them alcohol that he laced with drugs, and would proceed to strangle them. He often engaged in necrophilia with the corpses before he would dismember and dispose of them.
Question One Robert Pickton's ability to evade law enforcement and continue his killing spree for years can be attributed to many factors. One of the most significant was his choice of victims: vulnerable women, including sex workers and drug addicts. This made it easier for him to continue his crimes unnoticed, as his victims' disappearances were not given enough attention. Additionally, Pickton's pig farm provided him with an isolated location to dispose of the bodies, which helped him avoid being detected. The lack of proper communication and coordination between law enforcement agencies also played a role, as did Pickton's seemingly normal and friendly persona that allowed him to blend in and avoid suspicion.

Although Charles Cullen was the serial killer, the hospitals where Cullen worked were also at fault. In 60 minutes, the interviewer stated that Charles Cullen was a suspect long before his arrest. “Charles Cullen was the main suspect for poisoning random bags of saline…if you talk to the investigators there they’ll tell you Cullen was our man, we knew he was dirty. They couldn’t prove anything. It’s all circumstantial” (60 minutes, 4:30).
