The first story is a music video from Panic! at the Disco called This is Gospel. The video depicts the lead singer, I assume since he is singing, attempting to escape horrifying situations like being operated on, being buried alive, and being tied up. And during every attempt he would sing “If you love me, let me go!” The symbolic meaning is possibly about a breaking up with a girlfriend and asking her to let him leave. The lead singer also sings “The fear, the fear of falling apart”, that could be symbolic to the fear of their relationship crumbling. The lesson of the story is sometimes you need to give up something dear to you because it’s the right thing to do. There are accounts from Roberto’s family and friends about how he impacted them and many others from Latin America. They also spoke about their reactions to his death. The literal meaning of the story was that Roberto Clemente was a great man and a great baseball player who sacrifice a lot for others, including his life. A message from the story was that athletes can be more than just good at what they do, they can also be great people. I enjoyed this story because it taught me more about Roberto Clemente, although it was depressing to watch people open up about their dead friend. The third story was a Dr. Seuss book I had read called Oh, The Places You’ll Go! The story is about the author telling the readers about the journeys they will travel to, but on a level pre-schoolers could understand. The message of the story is you will become older and have to make decisions, and there is hope you will make the right decisions and go to far places. I did not enjoy this book when I read it as a little kid, but I do now now that I understand its meaning and it is
