Roberto Clemente once said, “Any time you have an opportunity to make things better and you don’t, then you are wasting your time on this earth” (“Roberto Clemente” St. James Encyclopedia). Since he was a young boy, Roberto Clemente always had a passion for baseball. He knew that he would end up going to the World Series at one point in his life, and in fact he did. Roberto Clemente was known for his kindness and the things he did for others, while caring for others, he sadly passed away in a plane crash. He started playing baseball super young and ended up being well-known for his ability to play baseball very well. Roberto lived through many things including World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, as a young kid living through this type of stuff is hard. After he passed away on New Years Eve, in a devastating plane crash in 1972 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he left behind a rich legacy of thirteen million.
