The Chicago Rippers were a satanic cult made up of four people. The leader was Robin Gecht and the other three were Edward Spreitzer with siblings Thomas and Andrew Kokoraleis (Blanco, n.d.). It is important to check Robin Gecht’s background, the Chicago Rippers beliefs and ideas, and explain how people could recover from a cult. A person’s background and organization’s beliefs and ideas can explain a lot about why a specific cult does certain things. Robin Gecht was born in Menard, Illinois in 1953. You can tell them by writing a simple email to them or giving a phone call to someone in the group (“Cultwatch: How to leave and recover from a cult”, n.d.). One thing to think about is seeing a counselor who can help you deal with any emotions you have going on (“Cultwatch: How to leave and recover from a cult”, n.d.). Counseling sessions are also accessible at churches (“Cultwatch: How to leave and recover from a cult”, n.d.). It’s going to take many months or years before you fully recover from the cult you were involved in (“Cultwatch: How to leave and recover from a cult”,
