In the 1991 film. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Kevin Costner played the role of Robin Hood. The director, Kevin Reynolds produced a thrilling scene of events that exposed the corruption in modern days and showed that the people united always find a way around the bad. The film was nominated for a single Oscar along with 17 other nominations and 16 of those being victories. The film was nominated for the Chicago Film Critics Association Awards in 1992, but did not get the award in the end. The film managed to triple its profits since the overall budget is estimated to have been 48 million dollars and it ended up grossing over 165 million dollars in the United States alone. A fellow prisoner by the name of Moor had his life saved by the two and he swore his life to Robin Hood for his gracious gesture. Robin Hood encountered the Sheriff’s cousin, Guy of Gisbourne, who was attempting to catch a young child, but Robin would not allow such a thing to happen and immediately sprang into action to save the young kid. Robin had a chance to kill the Sheriff’s cousin, but his intentions were not to do so because he was not here to start trouble, but to save the people from the corruption.
