Brittney Smith a 17 year old girl who goes to Maplewood High School where she is an honor roll student, a cheerleader, and is the student body president for the Junior classmen. She enjoys spending time with her family, hanging out with her friends, and she make sures that she makes the right decisions for the school. Brittney usually gets along with everyone in the school even the unpopular kids, but there is this one person she doesn’t like or can’t stand to be around. His name is Andre Jones, Andre is the captain of the basketball team and star player. Even though Brittney is around Andre during basketball games, she still refuses to talk to him or go near him.
Today is the day for the most fascinating, out of this world adventure, at Dollywood! Our class had an option of choosing our yearly class trip destination, and of course it was Dollywood! Dollywood is a place full of adventure, wonder, and magic! It has everything a girl could dream of it includes: roller coasters, food, animal descriptions, and an area of cognitive-content from years ago. Honestly, to tell you the truth, I had to persuade the class to pick Dollywood, but I knew it would be completely worth it.

Rodeo is one of the oldest sports to exist in the United States; with the first rodeo being held in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1872. Baseball is the only sport older than it. Today, many people and organizations are trying to shut down rodeo because they claim it is cruel to animals. The sport of rodeo is not cruel to animals through the care and treatment of the livestock and performance horses.
For some people it's just fun. But for me It's a lifestyle. People ask what is it? It's the sport rodeo. For those who don't known what rodeo is, rodeo is an exhibition or contest in which cowboys show their skill at riding broncs, roping calves and other activities.
The theme of “Taking the Plunge” is to accomplish any challenge you have to overcome your fears on your own. In the beginning of the excerpt the narrator nervously rambling about anything to keep from losing nerve .” Do crows really always fly directly?” this distraction allows to continue his ascent up the diving platform. All the while constantly looking for another distraction to offset nerves, all the while continuing to accomplish the task at hand “you can’t see the bolts in this diving platform from the ground, which is good if your objective is to get more people to scale this crazy tower because those bolts are pockmarked and look wounded,”
