On the day of February 6, 2012, Trayvon Martin was walking to his father’s house after getting a drink and skittles from a local gas station. On his way home he was spotted by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch person, who noticed Trayvon and believed he looked suspicious.
A. The current event is about a man named Rodriguez, that was pulled over by police officer and was handed a ticket. Soon after the police officer sends his dog to sniff his car and finds drugs in Rodriguez car. Rodriguez wins the case and pleads the fourth, and Rodriguez car should not of been searched because the officer didn 't have a warrant, or probable cause.
In February of 2012, Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old, was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in an act of self-defense. Martin, who was in Sanford, Florida visiting his father, was coming home from a 7-Eleven carrying a can of iced tea and a bag of skittles. 28-year-old Zimmerman was a neighborhood watch coordinator in the housing community in which Martin’s father lived (Abuznaid 1143). Zimmerman noticed Martin, who was wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt, walking through the community and grew suspicious. Zimmerman called the police but was told to wait and not engage.
It’s been 4 years since the killing of Trayvon Martin and the verdict still hasn’t ended the debate about his death. Many supporters believe that his murder was a cowardly act by one George Zimmerman who shot and killed Martin. It was the night of February 26 when Martin went to a nearby 7-eleven to buy himself a snack. Wearing the hood of his grey shirt over his head, he paid the store clerk and left. He was walking back to his father’s house, where he was staying after he had been suspended from school.

The final verdict of the Rodney King trial in 1992 caused many people to grow anger, and display their anger in different ways. Some people displayed aggression and fury with the riots in Los Angeles, others attempted to get a different resolution for the LAPD officers that were acquitted, and there were also citizens who wrote about the impacts of this trial and other issues. After reading the entries and taking my experiences into account, the three responses were fitting according to the verdict. Riots are normally considered to be malicious acts that are highly frowned upon, but in some cases a riot is necessary. People express themselves in different ways when they grow angry; some people will riot because they can show people that they are upset and they believe this is the best way to get the point across.

All four officers were captured on videotape beating on a black motorist named, Rodney King after a traffic stop gone wild. The Rodney King riots impacted society greatly by presenting the nations people with an understanding of how racism was still present in america. A reminder that "justice for all" was still a long way off being set in stone and to followed by most people.
Dr. King thoroughly explains his frustration with the clergymen when they have him put in jail. King is put in jail because of an act of "anti-segregation." He feels this motion is absurd and is defeated by the amount of racism there is throughout the world. The people of Birmingham find it absurd for King to have his protest and speak his mind there seeing as how it's not his place or community to be protesting to. King feels led to portray his feelings regardless of the consequences.
At least 303 lives of African Americans were lost due to police shootings in 2016. Why is this number so high and why is it growing? Many people believe the brutality of police and authorities has grown stronger in the past several years towards those of color, and that it is becoming incorrigible. Back in 2012, the life of Trayvon Martin was lost suddenly due to a watch captain of the neighborhood, George Zimmerman. Zimmerman had claimed to see a “suspicious person” and was directed to stay in his SUV, however those orders were not followed.

The townspeople claimed that Reggie wants to commit suicide because he can’t stand all the harassment that he has received anymore. All the people blamed him for knocking Chris out. The Rodney King Riot happened in Los Angeles in the year of 1992. Rodney King was an African American male who was arrested on charges because of speeding, drunk driving, and refusing to stop his vehicle. Four police officers who have claimed to have witnessed King’s actions such as being high on drugs and was trying to attack them explains why they did what they did. A resident nearby by the name of George Holliday captured about 12 minutes of the attack on film. King was tasered, brutally beaten with side-handled batons, then forced to the ground to lie still which was where he was handcuffed.
We learned that over the last 40 years the police department of the City of Miami and Miami- Dade County have experienced their share of civil disturbances. To illustrate, there have four cases of race riots between both police departments which led to innovation to be involved in their pursuits to better their responses. These were the race riots in 1968, the Liberty City Riot, 1980, the McDuffie Riot, 1982 Luis Alvarez Riots, and 1989 Loranzo Riots within the Liberty City over town areas.
