Abortion has been around for since the 1800’s. Abortion was started by women in Western hemisphere of Europe. As years passed, it started to become more popular throughout the world. Abortion is “the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus.” (Merriam) A lot of people viewed abortion as a crime or sin. Since an abortion was a convenience to a lot of women, they took advantage of that. In the 1900’s abortion were very dangerous because methods that were used to do this were very unsafe and hazardous. As a result, it was illegal to have an abortion. The US banned abortions in 1880. Since I’m a conservative, I believe that abortions should not be legal. Abortions shouldn’t be legal because firstly, that woman decided to reproduce in the first place. That woman made that decision to fornicate, therefore she’ll have to pay the consequences. Most likely, a gun wasn’t pointed in her head forcing her to reproduce. It was most likely the woman's decision to reproduce. If a woman is thinking about having an abortion, she really should consider her decision and what the outcome would be. That women is taking a human life, but it doesn’t matter even if that child is born yet, that fetus or embryo should still have rights. In the beginning, right when that fetus is barely developing, that’s a life right there. Even if the baby is still a little particle, it still has life. Personally, an abortion is a sin because you’re killing a human which is in the Ten Commandments. The Sixth Commandment states, “Thou shalt not kill.” (Bible). Since you're killing a baby, that action automatically breaks the Sixth Commandment. Sometimes, there can be expectations. For example, for women that are raped should have the right to have an abortion but I would still be against it because you would still be taking a human life. What normal conservatives would believe about abortion would be, “Human life begins at conception. Abortion is the murder of a human being. An unborn baby, as a living human being, has separate rights
