I am honored to have this opportunity to apply Master of Arts program at Roger Williams University. Since I was in high school, I knew that I wanted to further my education and deepen my interest in mental health by becoming a counselor. I believe that my educational background has instilled in me the qualities required to handle the rigor intensive graduate level. I am confident that my undergraduate education, internship, and study abroad experiences have been the steps I needed to take to get me to your front door and all I am asking is for a chance to prove to you the strength of my work ethic.

All in all, attending a small liberal art like Wesleyan College has expanded and inspired my curiosity to explore psychology and philosophy as my major. One semester, I also studied abroad at Charles University in Czech Republic. I studied Third Force psychology in Central European Context PSYCH 30003 course in Prague and Intercultural Comparative Experience in Germany. I was able to intertwine and think critically on both philosophical and psychological aspects that helped me to acquire more knowledge about different cultures. During my stay, I traveled to different cities within the Czech Republic and Poland every weekend. As a tutor, I have developed effective ways to present materials to students and designed tools to help them study. Additionally, I have successfully worked with students who have diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds, to explain complex concepts using easy to understand the terms. In study session, we also practice: problem-solving skills willingness to work in a team setting, applying empathy, organizational skill and confidentiality among the students.
