In the book the Odyssey, people broke into Odysseus 's house and tried to get his wife to marry them. They used is belongings for themselves, they broke into his house, and they tried to take the throne from him before even knowing if he was dead or not. In my perspective their punishment we 're not too severe they deserved to be punished for their actions. They threatened his wife and try to force her to marry them. Considering all that the Wooers did whether it was stealing, breaking, or forcing others to do what they told them to they all deserved what they got.
In the Odyssey the Wooers stole from Odysseus and his family. They stole his food and goods in the even tried to steal his wife. They would go into his house and stay there for many years and just eat his food and use his goods for themselves.

The wooers we 're all very rough and would break many things belonging to Odysseus. They would greedily drink and eat all of Odysseus ' food and then they would roughly jest. They would play around roughly with each other and not care as to what happened around them. Nothing they broke or stole bothered them. They destroyed many things with their games.
The wooers commanded Odysseus ' the servants to do what they asked them to do. They would make them cook for them, clean up after them, and fetch them drinks. They basically forced Penelope out of her own home. After three years of weaving and then unweaving the robe a maid tells the wooers of her plan. Then Penelope is forced to finish weaving the robe and has no more excuses to put off marrying one of the wooers.
The wooers treated Odysseus is home very badly and treated his wife as if she was an object. They had no respect for any of Odysseus ' belongings or his wife. And when he showed up as a beggar they had no respect for him either. The wooers deserved everything that happened to them because for so long they had it coming because the my stole from Odysseus, wasted his goods, and forced others to do
