Albert Einstein once said “ I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots”. Society shouldn’t rely on technology because it can cause lack of knowledge. When people solely rely on technology they're not utilizing their brain. Ray Bradbury predicted the same thing as Albert Einstein when he wrote the novel Fahrenheit 451. In Fahrenheit 451, the protagonist known as Montag, changes in result of realizing that the over reliance of technology is the reason to his conflict with the dehumanizing dystopian society.
Montag’s thoughts and curiosity level alter throughout the novel. At the beginning of the novel, after his usual work day he doesn't take anything into deep thought. “ He walked to the corner, thinking little at all about nothing in particular” (Bradbury 2). At the ending of the novel, Montag becomes very observant and thoughtful

At the beginning of the novel Montag goes along with the society, and doesn’t pay attention to the flaws. As he was replying to Clarisse asking him does he read any of the books he burned and he said “That's against the law!... It’s fine work Monday burn Millay, Wednesday Whitman, Friday Faulkner, burn ‘em to ashes, then burn the ashes. That’s our official slogan” (Bradbury 6). Although, at the end Montag notices the flaws in the society because everyone seems to be apathetic which is making them ignorant to reality. As his wife commanded “let me alone” Montag replied, “ We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while” (Bradbury 49). The changes of how he felt toward the society began to change when he realized how careless and thoughtless his wife Mildred was. Mildred spent her time hidden from reality just as all the others, as she stayed in the parlor watching her wall sized programs. As Mildred is being apathetic she is ignorant to
