In the same regard, what responsibilities would the mentee have in the mentor-mentee relationship? How would the requirements and responsibilities change based on career stage?

A nurse seeking for a mentor to assist her in developing a strong career trajectory in their area of specialty, the mentor should be willing to accept this role. This is a voluntary relationship. Also seek an informal mentor for each area of expertise that the nurse want to develop or explore. As an informal mentor in this role, this individual would be see as a coach or teacher and has no responsibilities.
For a formal mentor, locate a person who is committed to the employee’s growth and development. Current job knowledge is necessary to teach about the intricacies of the position. The mentee should have active listening skills during discussions with the mentor. During these discussions, be polite and be careful not to interrupt. This is an active learning session, so take notes. Ask for feedback, keep the emotions out of the picture as this is the time for growth and development.
