Imagine what it would feel like having to raise a child alone without a father while there are 100 men trying to get with at you just to get power. In the amazing poem The Odyssey written by Homer he tells the story of Odysseus a king who went to war for 10 years and was prevented from coming home for another 10 years because of his foolish men. Due to Odysseus being gone his wife queen Penelope is forced to raise their son Telemachus alone. Over that 20 year period of time Penelope underwent a lot of stress and anxiety. Men and Women have well defined roles in our society such as being a parent. But when faced with challenges while being a single parent it ultimately leads to more stress and changes the way the child would be raised with both
