The story, “Doll House”, written by Rolf Fjelde is an amusing story about a condescending couple that gets torn apart. Nora, the wife of Torvald, acquired money from an employed member by her husband, as a loan while her husband, fell ill. Nora, had a loan to repay and the man, uses the loan as leverage to keep his job. As the story progresses, we soon find out this individual does not keep his job, and Nora ends up leaving her husband. As Nora seems similar to the victim in this situation, a closer look will prove, she is not a character to feel sorry for. Giving an explanation, Nora, confess in her peer the reason for the loan, however, she does not disclose the individual she has the loan for. Feeling powerless, Nora borrowed the money to save her husbands life. Becoming ill due to work and the medication that would save his life was excessively expensive for their family, Nora, did not her husband due to the reason of women cannot be in charge of funds, nor, cannot borrow money. As the story progresses, A new character is inducted and it is disclosed he is a Doctor with a deadly disease; Tuberculosis, after this sorrow mood, a new tone is introduced when Mrs. Linde is offered the job by, Torvald, and gracefully accepts it. The story then reveals who, Nora, has taken the loan from. M man by the name of, Krogstad. Krogstad discusses his job has been given away to Mrs. Linde, he uses the loan as leverage to confirm he gets his job back. Nora, worried, tries to convince, her husband, to not fire, Krogstad, As this effort does not work, Nora, becomes desperate and subtle begins to lead on Dr. Rank, in hopes of asking him for money to pay off the loan she owes to Krogstad, he informs her that she is in love with her, Noras idea backs fires and she becomes too embarrassed to ask for money. Nora, has a strong vision that Dr. Rank felt a connection with her. She shows extreme desperation to discover money to repay the loan, in hopes that her issue would decline. She resorts to a dying doctor for assist, however, this attempt is not for advice. Nora, commences flirting between herself and the Doctor in hopes of cash approaching herself. Although, her strategy becomes demolished when he openly admits that he loves her. Shocked, Nora, quickly ended the attempted and noted it was wrong, the doctor then proceeded to see Torvald.
