In the poem "Family Tree" by Tupac Shukar, explains about how it doesn't matter where you come from because that doesn't determine your future. When I read this quote I automatically thought that what I was about to read was going to get me on the edge of my seat. I think Ray Bradbury put that line in the beginning of his story to excite them and have the thinking what's going to happen next all throughout the A Sound of Thunder.

Yet, a school taught black lady is not any more liable to have a spouse than a poor Caucasian lady with scarcely a secondary school certificate. Cassie Logan has many courageous moments in this book but the three most challenging moments are standing up to Lillian Jean, Standing up for little man, and standing up for herself at the barnett store. Through Cassie´s actions she has proved she loves her family, loves the land, and knows that segregation is NOT RIGHT. She knows that equal rights is not an option in that day and age, but she will still try to make a difference in the world.
Although both Michael Crichton, author of Jurassic Park, and Ray Bradbury, author of A Sound of Thunder, use foreshadowing, A Sound of Thunder creates more suspense for readers. Both are excellent, but Bradbury uses outstanding diction to emphasize the importance of certain events in the plot. While the pair of stories are equally well written, A Sound of Thunder uses it's foreshadowing to allure readers into continuing the short story. In A Sound of Thunder, there are many instances of suspenseful foreshadowing.
The most powerful symbol in “A Sound Of Thunder” by Ray Bradbury is the butterfly because it symbolizes the butterfly effect. The butterfly is so important because it tells you what could possibly happen by over exaggerating a little bit, with the butterfly getting killed, so you know how severe the consequences could be. If someone disobeys the rules someone else has given them it could lead to serious problems, including death.
