Rome was a leader in the Ancient World. It accomplished many achievements during its reign. Romans formed a new system of government,and expanded their empire. Though the Roman empire was great they eventually fell because of three reasons , military mistakes, economic and civic decay, and political instability. These issues were caused by many factors such as an idle attitude, greediness, and natural disasters.

One characteristic of empires and civilizations is that they sometimes purposefully, sometimes inadvertently share aspects of their culture with neighboring and future societies. Both Greece and Rome were influential forces in the Mediterranean Region during the Hellenistic era. Each was instrumental in the transmission of technology in terms of architecture, military innovation, and political organization across the western world. The Greek civilization was a networked group of city states who benefitted from their ability to share ideas, develop new ways of thinking and technologies, where as the Roman Empire was more concerned with demonstrating a sense of supreme power and the expansion of their territorial influence to outside cultures.

There are many greek influences on our culture today. However, these impacts are not very widely known in our modern society. The Greek culture affects our everyday way of life. They created democracy, the alphabet, libraries, the Olympics, math, science, architecture, and even lighthouses. Greecians created systems that would not be imagined in a person’s wildest dreams.
Firstly I will elaborate on the history of the Roman Empire a little. At its very peak around 117 C.E., the Roman Empire ruled the Mediterranean area and parts of the Middle East and Northern parts of the African continent all the way to the British Islands. Whilst these days lasted the entire empire made use of one single language and one judicial system only. The Roman Army guarded the boarders to the neighbouring countries/empires, and also ensured order within the Roman Empire.
Regarding economy, the bases old Greece and old Rome was agriculture.
