Page 1 Weapons throughout history have changed dramatically, from the early stages of man kind and civilization there has always been warfare, therefore calling upon a big dependency upon weapons, advancing and progressing in lethalness, dependability, effectiveness and bringing other aspects of life into the realm of weapons. Many of which were first intended for regular every day use of another reason. Examples of this have been seen with animals, cars, airplanes, helicopters, boats and many more. Therefore putting a huge chunk of our existence into the art of weaponry tracing back as far as we know. Which was greatly helped by, you guessed it, weapons. These people ranged between roughly the 400 BC to 300 AD, well the part I’m talking about anyway. These people like the Egyptians used many of weapons including the spear, the unique fighting style they had was greatly aided by not just this weapon, also the Gladius. The Hispanic origined short sword was widely used in the Roman empire and soon became somewhat of an icon for the people. This weapon was adopted by the Romans from the Hispanic tribes in the area. They also had a great, strong bronze shield, this was not only used for defense, but could also be used as a battering ram to inflict blunt force onto an enemy. They also used a version of the Javelin called the Pilum, it was a fairly heavy yet mobile form of short range artillery for the soldiers. These combination of great weapons were indefinitely one of the main causes for their promptness in the Eastern world. Speaking of the eastern world such as Greece and Rome, they had a great influence on not just weapons but every day life in many other parts of the world. They therefore caused a great advancement in military and weaponry, this was called the Middle Ages, starting from the Roman Empire falling, merging into the Renessaince where those ideas would try to be replicated.
