The Romans had many purposes of government. There are five purposes of government for the Romans. The purposes of government are Provide a public service, Protect rights, Provide rule of law, Prepare a common defense, Support the economic system. Explanation of how it meets the common good. I gave the Romans an a+ for providing a public service because they did many things that let the pleiadians and the patricians do things with little to no cost. One example of public services is the public baths. This is an example because everybody was allowed to use the public bath. Another example is the public water fountains. This is a public service because everybody was allowed to use it. They had many soldiers and that were well trained and prepared for battle. They made it so the new soldiers could not get married because they thought that if they were married, they would want to hide to live another day so they could see their wives. Then if you were a high ranking soldier you were allowed to get married. The Romans thought that if the soldiers were high ranking they would want to fight even more so they could see their wives. The soldiers that couldn’t get married were the ones that just started or allies with Rome or captured men. If captured men fought in the army for 25 years they could gain some rights as a Roman citizen. This is why I gave it an A+ Explanation of how it meets the common good. I gave the Romans a Grade C- because there protecting rights was unfair because the Romans gave a lot more rights to the rich and wealthy than the regular people in Rome.
