Music is very popular all over the world, and it comes in different forms and flavors. People of all ages enjoy listening to different types of music and express positive emotions. In addition, the Romantic song is the branch of music which conveys the pleasant message of peace and love. However, people use romantic lyrics to share their pleasure when it is successful and relieve the grief when it is not. It’s also used as a bridge to connect hearts that are miles apart. Love is just like a coin that has two sides. It can be sweet and bitter, it can be clear and confusing, and it can be smooth and rough. When a person tosses the coin, he/she would have only one side. The singer poured his broken heart into lyrics telling about his unfaithful girlfriend. In the first couple verses of the song, the singer states, “We both lie silently still, in the dead of the night, although we both lie close together, we feel miles apart inside.” Begin by looking at the quote above, people can understand how the singer expresses his relationship that is coming to end. The songs begin with the singer lying in bed with his love. Although they physically lie close together, they are facing opposite of each other that seems they aren't in the same place emotionally. Moreover, Poison’s song clearly explains that love is not always about happiness, it sometimes gives a hard time. In his chorus, he repeats the statement, “Every rose has its thorn, just like every night has its dawn, just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song.” Based on these verses, singer compares his life to the rose plant. However, in both songs, the persona is missing one of the other. For instance, in Poison’s song, true love is missing between two lovers, so the singer is emotionally broken. Whereas Deon’s lose her love, but her feeling and respect towards love are positive that last forever in her heart. Due to the fact, Deon’s song shows that how true love and relationship last forever. True love isn’t supposed to be a struggle if both lovers are together. The struggle is when they are apart. Comparing Deon’s song to Poison’s song we can find completely opposite. In Deon’s song, even though two lovers are permanently away from each other, their love is unending.
