As she watched the way he played with the crumpled piece of paper in his hands, she wondered how it would feel to be touched by them. When he first entered the room his scent seemed to escalate, filling her nostrils with a musk-like aroma that was utterly enticing. She had never seen this person before nor could attach a name to him, but for some reason the boy appeared familiar. As she heard the first word leave his mouth, she felt like she had known him for her whole life. Nervous feelings consumed her while butterflies simultaneously danced in her stomach. Sometimes attraction begins merely from physical appearance. As in the tragic play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is mesmerized when he notices a dancing girl (Juliet) from across the room. He even asked himself if his heart had loved till now, for he had never seen true beauty until that night (Act 1 Scene 5). Even though the play and movie are overly dramatized in comparison to reality, it is somewhat accurate in describing how quickly someone becomes interested in another. The brain cannot help but become attracted when it sees something beautiful so a chiseled jaw, curvy body, or gentle-looking hands are just a few of the physical features that draw people in. Based on this information, they must take matters into their own hands and decide whether or not to talk to the person. My grandparent’s first encounter with one another, for example, was not exactly a typical start to a love story. He had walked into a riding stable that my grandmother both worked and regularly rode horses at. She was not around so he placed the payment on the counter and left. When he was finished riding, he entered the tack room with her close on his heels. Although he had paid she had failed to notice and began to unleash her wrath on him.
