Romeo and Juliet is a play about hate, love, and death. This could have ended with just hate and love, but Tybalt had to create it into a whole new scenario. Tybalt had to lie, kill, go against Juliet’s true love. Tybalt is the one the blame for the tragedy against Romeo and Juliet, because of all of the differences and the rivalry against Romeo. Well you might think that Romeo is to blame for Tybalt’s wrong doing in the act of helping his cousin “Juliet”. If Romeo would have just not fallen in love with Juliet this would have never happened. Romeo was just trying to have relationship with Juliet, without Tybalt this could have been a fairytale ending with the princess kissing the bride living happily ever after. Here’s to my love! (drinks the poison) O true apothecary, Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.” This is very sad to see that Romeo kills himself then right after Juliet wakes up in the Act 5 Scene 3, Page 8 Juliet saying, “What’s here? A cup, closed in my true love’s hand? Poison, I see, hath been his timeless end.—O churl, drunk all, and left no friendly drop To help me after? I will kiss thy lips. Haply some poison yet doth hang on them, To make me die with a restorative. (kisses ROMEO) Thy lips are warm. Yea, noise? Then I’ll be brief. O happy dagger, This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die. (stabs herself with ROMEO’s dagger and dies).” Romeo should have just waited instead of killing himself, and Juliet killing herself right after. Romeo couldn’t have been blamed for this Juliet, she could have just not have ended her life. A word with one of you. Then Mercutio replies, And but one word with one of us? Couple it with something. Make it a word and a blow.” Tybalt acts like he cares about Mercutio, but just wants to find Romeo after saying good day to Mercutio. That he would go that far lengths to find Romeo’s best friend, and treat him with a welcome heart in mind to kill Romeo. This really just really cold blooded to do this when you are really trying to kill Mercutio’s friend. As he keeps with conversation trying to get through Mercutio’s lies as Mercutio says in the next page “Consort? What, dost thou make us minstrels? An thou make minstrels of us, look to hear nothing but discords. Here’s my fiddlestick. Here’s that shall make you dance. Zounds, “consort”!” That Tybalt kind of knew that Mercutio was liar, that if he just kept with him the whole time that Romeo would show up for his friend Mercutio. That Mercutio could have just said that they weren’t friends, but had to add on that they were not musicians. Tybalt was so driven to see through that lie, of Mercutio. Tybalt then sees Romeo coming in that he says. Well, peace be with you, sir. Here comes my man.” That pretty much says screw you guys I don't need you anymore here is the man I’m trying to kill. Tybalt could have just given Romeo a warning to never show up to the party again. Then insults him in the same page saying, Romeo, the love I bear thee can afford No better term than this: thou art a villain.” Tybalt
