Throughout life, we ask ourselves if we control our fate. Our choices and actions we do, we make our destiny. Even though external actions come to play. It depends on how we decide to confront them, make out path, and own destinies. Through the actions of the story “Romeo and Juliet” written by william shakespeare, we witness how the lovers mold their destinies. Firstly, Romeo and Juliet secretly fight society and their family to pursue their love by, marrying each other, kissing each other, and sneaking out to the orchard for Juliet. Their actions show them opposing fates because their families are rivals and they’re supposed to marry other people. This shows how people pursue their desires that challenge strict traditions and their already-made path set by society. Juliet was supposed to marry Paris, and she and Romeo were supposed to hate each other as family rivals. Furthermore, Being impulsive is a way of changing our destiny, and being careless also sometimes unchangeable and regrettable. Same as when Romeo and Juliet reach such lengths to where they can’t live without each other, so they kill themselves when they see each other dead. Depending on your decisions you change the path you take for your destiny. For example, before Romeo was in love with Juliet he had his eyes set on another girl by the name of Rosaline. But when he went to the party he saw Juliet and sought out her instead, he could have avoided dying with Juliet if he chose Rosaline. As well as Frair Lawerances decision to carry out the marriage for Romeo and Juliet.
