The personal choices of individuals are the path of fate curated by thou. The play Romeo and Juliet articulates the notion that personal decisions have the greatest influence on the outcome, in which the characters will face the consequences of their actions. For example, Romeo's impulsivity and foolish choices, along with Juliet feeding into it, led them to their death. Most importantly, the families learn a valuable lesson from the tragedy of the death of Romeo and Juliet. As a result of Romeo and Juliet's actions, it presented an opportunity for the montague and capsule family to turn a new leaf as they mourn the death. The families chose to never get along and it prevented Romeo and Juliet from having a genuine relationship without the need of living a second life behind the backs of their parents. Romeo expresses the desire to be with Juliet without the resentment of their family. “O, that I were a glove upon that hand, that I might touch that cheek!”(act II scene II) He pleads how he's the match for Juliet despite the last names they carry holding them back. The idea is, Romeo and Juliet are puzzle pieces but the hands of the families are keeping them apart which resulted in Romeo and Juliet to rebel against any setbacks. Ultimately, it was the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet's death in which the families learn to reconcile. The impact of their death made them come to their senses, they could’ve made up at any other point in time but they found the importance in the moment in which they needed to grow and change for the better. In their vow for peace they say, “o brother montague, give me thy hand. This is my daughter's jointure for no more”(act V scene III) They decided to make up and learn to accept each other, referring to them as “brothers” to signify a new profound reconciliation on the behalf of Romeo and
