Coming of age is the way of growing up and discovering things that most people never knew existed. Everyone's life is slowly transformed from a fun experience of exploring into this stressful struggle of decision-making and everyone can't control it. The two main parts of coming of age are loss and love. They both impact everyone in the world differently. Losing a parent or becoming in love with someone impacts everyone when they come of age. One person who experienced loss was Will from a long way down, he lost his brother to a shooting and is now trying to get through it. Another person who experienced love was Romeo from Romeo and Juliet, in the book he is in a romantic love situation with Juliet. To conclude, Will suffers from loss throughout the book. Teenagers like Will go through this during coming of age and it affects them badly. Just calm down and think about the things most people don't have and not the things that might feel lost. Teenagers experience love in many different ways, people may feel connected to their family in a good way, or they might have a girl they like. It affects everyone in different ways. Romeo and Juliet experience pure romantic love throughout the book. There are a lot of barriers that keep them from marrying, like being in different groups like the Chapulet and the Montagues.
