Romeo and Juliet and Pyramus and Thisbe are both very similar works of historical literature, but there are also several key differences. The characters and plot have a lot in common but the specific details changed a lot.
The first and most obvious similarities are the main characters. They both are destined not to be together. Romeo and Juliet come from families that have been feuding for generations, so no one would ever approve of their love. Likewise, the families of Pyramus and Thisbe forbade their marriage. And in the end (spoiler alert!), they all died. Romeo swallowed a fatal poison after mistaking Juliet’s drugged sleep for death, and when Juliet awoke, she fell upon her husband’s dagger, seeing him dead. Again, Pyramus saw Thisbe’s
