In Williams Shakespear’s play Romeo and Juliet, there is character versus character conflict in, Act III scene i. The charecters that the conflicts are between is one of our main charecters, Romeo and Juliets cousin, Tybalt. The reason why these conflicts started is because Tybalt saw Romeo at a feast that Juliet’s family was holding earlier in the play. As a result of the conflict between the two, one consiquence is that Romeos best friend Mercutio died because he was trying to defend his friend from Tybalt’s insults. When Romeo enters he sees that the two are about to fight so Romeo tries to break it up, but with him in the way Tybalt finds it as a good opportunity to stab Mercutio and then run away. Becayse of Mercutios death this made Romeo much angryer, which leads to the other conflict. Another consequence that accored from this conflict is that Romeo killed Tybalt infront of lots of people. When Romeo went to fight Tybalt he did it because his best friend had just died infront of him, for somthing that he caused. When in this pit of rage and anger Romeo didn’t care about anything, he did not care that he was going after he wifes cousin. FInally Romeos cousin, Benlovio told him to run because he knew that if he stayed that he would be killed. The final consequence is the punishment that Romeo recevied. Because of Romeo’s and Juliets families constanly fighting the prince said that if someone fights in the streets and dissrupse the peace in Veronia, the people will be put to death. After Romeo killed Tybalt and ran away to hopefully not get caught by anyone, people called the prince and the Capulet family as Tybalt was apart of their family. Once they al arrived at the scene they saw Tybalt body laying on the ground lifeless, he had been dead for a couple of minutes. Lady Capulet screamed and shouted, that she wanted who ever did this killed. A person from the crowed screamed, that it was Romeo, and that made the whole Capulet family that was at the scene mad. Before anything could be said or done, Benlovio spoke up and said that Romeo only did it because Tybalt had killed Mercutio.
